Position: Senior Ellucian Banner Student Consultant (Remote) Location: 100% Remote- Toronto, ON Job type: Full-time/Permanent hiring We are seeking an experienced Senior Ellucian Banner Student Consultant to drive the end-to-end configuration, conversion, implementation, and deployment of our integrated administrative solutions for colleges and universities. In this role, you will bridge the gap between functional business processes and the technical layers of the Banner Student Information System (SIS), with a deep structural focus on Person Record Management, Catalog and Curriculum design, Registration, and Self-Service operations. You will guide higher education clients through digital transformation and SaaS migrations, leading cross-functional design sprints, managing software artifacts, and troubleshooting deployment bottlenecks to achieve peak student-platform modernization. Key Responsibilities: Lead Banner Implementations: Own the full software lifecycle—including configuration, data conversion mapping, functional testing, and deployment—for the integrated Banner Student product suite. Architect Student Modules: Configure, optimize, and maintain critical Banner components encompassing Student Registration networks, Catalog setups, and multi-tier Curriculum design templates. Govern Record Frameworks: Establish and secure standardized data management pipelines for Person Record Management, student lifecycle data, and administrative operations. Drive SaaS Modernization: Direct university registrars and academic stakeholders away from legacy architectures, facilitating smooth transitions to unified cloud-native Ellucian SaaS frameworks. Execute System Data Conversions: Partner with database administrators to map legacy university records, establishing clean target-state data structures and data extraction verification routines. Conduct Core Root-Cause Analysis: Diagnose complex application faults, triage performance-impeding runtime exceptions, and formulate permanent system resolutions. Author Integration Specs: Define data-flow dependencies, test cases, and configuration runbooks to integrate self-service portals with external institutional tools. Direct Stakeholder Sprints: Facilitate workshop sessions, communicate project timelines, and deliver progress reports to internal delivery managers and external university executives. Required Skills: Primary: Ellucian Banner Student Information System (SIS), Higher Education Software Implementations, Data Conversion Mapping, Student Lifecycle Configuration, Functional & Technical Design translation. Tools/Frameworks: Banner Student Modules (Registration, Catalog/Curriculum, Self-Service), Ellucian Solution Artifacts, SQL Developer, PL/SQL, Reporting/Querying tools. Database/Cloud: Relational Databases (Oracle backend for Banner), Cloud-Native SaaS Implementation methodologies, Identity Management interfaces. Nice-to-Have: Knowledge of additional Ellucian modules (e.g., Banner Financial Aid, Banner Accounts Receivable, Ellucian Experience), Ellucian Ethos Integration framework, PMP or Scrum Master principles.

Lead the end-to-end configuration, implementation, and deployment of Ellucian Banner Student modules for higher education clients. Drive digital transformation and SaaS migrations while managing data conversions and system integrations.

Requires deep expertise in Ellucian Banner SIS, specifically in registration, catalog, and curriculum modules. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases is necessary for managing data mapping and system troubleshooting.
