Cultural Mentor

The main purpose of the Cultural Mentor role is to support teachers and staff within our 3 schools to implement a culturally grounded KEC Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten Education Program. In collaboration with the KEC curriculum team and school administration, this role will also assist in organizing and facilitating culturally-based events and activities for students and staff that promote Kanien’kehá:ka culture. The Cultural Mentor supports teachers and staff in implementing the culturally grounded KEC Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten Education Program. They also collaborate with the curriculum team to organize and facilitate cultural events and activities for students and staff.

The role requires experience in cultural education and the ability to work collaboratively with school administration and curriculum teams. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of Kanien’kehá:ka culture to effectively promote it within the school environment.
