On-Call Snow Crew Don’t want a full-time winter job? Want to pick up extra income when it snows? This could be a great fit. This is an on-call position with no guaranteed hours. When snow shifts are available, you can choose to take them based on your availability. The more you work over the season, the more you can earn through milestone bonuses. WHAT WE OFFER $22/hour for snow shifts Increasing bonuses based on hours worked throughout the season Paid training to get you ready for the job A strong team with a great reputation An opportunity to earn extra winter income without committing to full-time work YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU Live near Okotoks for an easier commute in winter conditions Want occasional, on-call winter work Are willing to work early mornings, nights, weekends or holidays when you accept a shift Own appropriate winter gear, including boots, a parka and gloves Enjoy physical, outdoor work ROLE DETAILS On-call from November to April No guaranteed hours Work is primarily sidewalk snow removal Work in crews using shovels and other basic snow-removal tools Apply ice melt to sidewalks, entrances and stairs Shifts are offered based on the size of the snow event and the number of people required REQUIREMENTS Physically fit and able to work outdoors in difficult winter conditions Reliable transportation to get to work during snow events Snow removal experience is helpful, but not required If you’re looking for intermittent winter work and want to earn extra money when it snows, we’d like to hear from you.
