Role Description The Senior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC, responsible for leading construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation while coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Daily responsibilities include monitoring site progress, addressing construction issues, reviewing inspections, managing change orders, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Senior Project Manager prepares and reviews project documentation, reports, and forecasts, and leads regular meetings to align stakeholders on timelines and deliverables. This role also mentors project team members, supports expediting of materials and approvals, and drives continuous improvement across project processes. Qualifications Proficiency in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination. Experience with expediting and expeditor responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of materials, permits, and approvals. Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control standards in construction environments. Skills in logistics management for organizing resources, equipment, and subcontractors across multiple job sites. Several years of progressive construction project management experience, ideally in residential or commercial building. Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on safety and risk management. Effective communication and documentation skills, including report writing and meeting facilitation. Familiarity with construction management software and standard office productivity tools. Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Ability to work on-site full time in Vancouver, BC, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
