Position: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Brantford, ON Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus benefits Contract: 12-months with potential to become permanent Our client, located in Brantford, ON, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to manage overall operations of distribution warehouse to meet company and customers’ demands. Lead and direct all levels of pickers to maintain desired efficiency on order picking and daily outbound and inbound shipment demand. Help control internal department processes as well as company policies, to help meet Management demands. Be reliable, accountable and have appropriate supervisor skills to hold other employees accountable. Responsibilities: Manage all levels of pickers to meet company efficiencies and customer demands. Manage all dock activity to ensure efficiency and accuracy of all daily shipments. Prepare, evaluate and maintain employee reviews. Resolve employee complaints and problems, issue discipline if needed. Training of all new employees. Oversee forklift certification and re-certification for warehouse pickers. Ensure customer specific requirements are met for each shipment. Provide all new product shipping Ti-Hi measurements. Responsible for warehouse efficiencies based on WMS KPI’s. Recommend, implement, and support continuous improvement within the department and the company to improve quality, productivity, safety, efficiency and cost reduction. Manage all daily shipments and receipts within company ERP System. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the facility through good housekeeping practices. Complete routine dock inspections for safety. Support a proactive safety environment with emphasis on good housekeeping and 5S protocol. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel to the USA for a four-week training period. Valid Passport. Minimum of five years supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of five years of distribution and warehousing experience. Strong supervisory and management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong math skills. Ability to complete routine, standard paperwork as required. Computer proficiency, knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control or MRP/ERP systems a plus. Ability to function independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Willing and able to operate a forklift as needed. Strong work ethic. Cooperative demeanor when performing assigned tasks.
