We are a proud Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing employees work-life balance with a competitive compensation package including: Top wages Salary range between $150-170K, depending on experience Benefit coverage for you and your dependents Employer RRSP contributions (no match required) Employee Share Ownership Vacation and Sick/FR days We currently have an opening in Lower Mainland, BC for a: Project Superintendent The Project Superintendent completes project requirements as per plans and specifications on time and on budget in cooperation with the Project Manager, while promoting and enforcing the Health & Safety program. How will you contribute to the team? To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation, policies and procedures in daily operations; Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations, policies and procedures in daily operations; Review and monitor Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) to ensure compliance to the requirements of the process and safety of the work Represent Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. in dealing with the MOL during on-site visits, as required; Coordination of site personnel; Coordinate with trade contractors for proper sequencing; Maintain accurate and concise records of cost codes and be familiar with current and projected costs; Verify and audit site costs against the budget; Manage and foresee potential problems in design/construction; Develop, with the involvement of the Project Manager, the overall project schedule; Coordinate equipment and manpower to achieve schedule requirements; Identify potential additional work with the Project Manager and track as required; Hold regular trade meetings, safety meetings, etc. and ensure meeting minutes are recorded, posted and distributed; Review weekly quantity reports for labour cost; Continual review of the contract drawings to identify discrepancies between the various disciplines. Education and Experience: Experience as a Site Supervisor/Project Superintendent in a General Contracting environment, managing all aspects of the project C.Tech., P.Eng., or CET designation. Either hold or are eligible for your ‘Gold Seal’ certification 8-10 years’ construction related experience Water/Waste Water or ICI/Infrastructure project experience Highly competent with self-performed formwork and concrete Outstanding communication and organizational skills Strong leadership and teambuilding abilities Ability to effectively manage an hourly workforce and sub-trades Proficiency with MS Office is required.
