Heavy Equipment Field Maintenance Supervisor Kidco Construction is a complete construction solutions company specializing in residential earthworks, underground utility excavation, and basement excavation, for large‑scale residential, commercial, and municipal projects throughout Calgary, Alberta. With nearly four decades of experience, Kidco delivers end‑to‑end construction solutions—from initial site preparation and infrastructure installation through to foundation excavation, hauling, and equipment support. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our field mechanics and welders as they repair and maintain the company's fleet of off-road heavy construction equipment. Key Responsibilities * Lead weekly safety meetings. Ensure adherence to all safe job procedures and practices. * Prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance of heavy equipment, delegating tasks to appropriate field staff. * Collaborate with field operations supervisors to coordinate equipment repairs on-site or in the shop. * Inspect completed work to ensure quality and minimize rework. * Daily closing of work orders. * Collect and review timecards daily. * Prepare requisitions for materials and supplies. * Resolve work-related issues and recommend measures to improve productivity. * Prepare timelines and cost estimates for repairs when necessary. * Adapt to changing job duties as required. Required Skills and Experience * Heavy Equipment Technician Certification is considered an asset. * Extensive maintenance experience and knowledge of all types of construction equipment used on our jobsites, excavators, dozers, rock trucks, packers, loaders, scrapers, graders, and other heavy equipment used on large-scale civil construction sites. * Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 3 Driver’s License with Q-endorsement is considered an asset). * Computer skills are required. Typical Schedule: * Monday - Saturday, with Sundays off.
