Requisition ID: 182030 Job Level: Mid Level Home District/Group: DHO Kiewit Supply Network Department: Supply Chain Management Market: Corporate Home Office Employment Type: Full Time POSITION OVERVIEW Kiewit's Contracts & Supply Chain Specialists oversee procurement and subcontractor / vendor management on construction projects across North America. You provide leadership and management for procurement of engineered equipment, subcontracts, professional services, commodities, permanent plant materials, and small tools and supplies. You will work with a procurement team to interface with engineering, estimating, design, and the site to create project-specific contract templates, negotiating with equipment vendors, material vendors, subcontractors and service providers. You will consult with corporate attorneys and senior management when necessary. DISTRICT OVERVIEW Kiewit Supply Network group specializes in providing comprehensive procurement services to clients across the construction and engineering industries in multiple markets, including: transportation, water/wastewater, power, OGC, building, and mining. We provide world-class service to ensure equipment, materials and services are consistently estimated and procured at the right price. LOCATION This position is based full-time in our Burnaby, BC office. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead planning efforts for all aspects of contracts from pre-bid to closeout. * Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers, subcontractors and professional service providers. * Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with equipment vendors, material vendors, professional service providers and subcontractors; consult with corporate attorneys and senior management to minimize project and corporate risk while maintaining commercial competitiveness. * Oversee and execute the buyout of contracts for projects. * Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and/or estimating materials, equipment, subcontract and professional services. * Locate and assist in the evaluation and qualification of vendor materials and equipment, subcontractors, and professional service providers. * Assist in the development and implementation of procurement and contract management plans, instructions, policies and procedures. * Maintain records of goods ordered and received. * Provide feedback to assist in analyzing market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability. * Resolve vendor or contractor issues and claims. * Review subcontractor claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. * Communicate and enforce procurement policies & procedures to project team; provide training to ensure policies and procedures are followed. * Responsible for projections, financial planning, expediting, delivery schedules and project procurement reporting. * Provide detailed risk assessments and mitigation strategies to project cost, schedule, quality and general buyout * Oversee the development and review of all procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables. * Implement and oversee project mobilization activities including office set-up, site general arrangement, etc. * Work with the material management department to ensure proper material receiving and control. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, construction management, engineering, or equivalent degree or experience. * Minimum of three years' experience in engineering and/or construction or related field preferred. * Experience in vendor and subcontractor management, including evaluation, selection, legal negotiations, performance management, and contract closeout. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) with general knowledge of database utilization. SAP experience is a plus. * Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects. * Detail-oriented, flexible and highly motivated with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor. * Effective time management and organizational skills. * Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. * Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills for both managerial and client interfacing. * Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives. * Strong leadership and people management skills. Other Requirements: * Work productively and meet deadlines timely * Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment * Work during normal operating hours of 8am-5pm M-F and as required to complete work within given deadlines. The Supply Chain Specialist oversees procurement activities, including negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors for construction projects. They are responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle, from pre-bid to closeout, while ensuring compliance with project specifications and corporate policies.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, construction management, or engineering. A minimum of three years of experience in engineering or construction, specifically in vendor and subcontractor management, is required.
