You will be part of our Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, hydro and dams and materials disciplines. This is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. District Overview Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs, and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Discipline Leads and Engineers: Support civil/structural/roadway/hydro and dam engineering projects in the pursuit, design, or construction stage by: Producing design calculations and analyses Participating in the development of design deliverables, including collaborating with engineers and designers/drafters Support the development of the multidisciplinary engineering team by: Developing internal design tools and standards with our engineers Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree Be available for full-time work for a 4–8-month internship period (starting January 2027) and returning to full-time studies afterwards Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel 2nd year of studies completed prior to internship start date Other Requirements: Good written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines Base Compensation: $22.00/hr - $27.00/hr(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location) We offer our fulltime staff employees a comprehensive benefits package that’s among the best in our industry, including top-tier medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, voluntary wellness and employee assistance programs, life insurance, disability, retirement plans with matching, and generous paid time off.
