Deliver Excellence. We are currently seeking a Detail Manager to lead our vehicle detailing operations and ensure every vehicle leaves our facility looking its absolute best. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and creating a high-performing team focused on quality and efficiency. About the Role The Detail Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations within the detailing department. This includes managing workflow, maintaining production targets, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing leadership to a team of Car Care Technicians. Working closely with the Location Managers, Operations Manager, and Estimators, the Detail Manager ensures vehicles are completed on schedule and delivered to customers in exceptional condition. What You'll Do Production & Workflow Management Oversee the daily operations of the detail department Schedule and assign work to maximize productivity Ensure vehicles are completed on time and ready for delivery Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for improvement Coordinate vehicle movement and staging within the facility Ensure department goals and turnaround times are achieved Support the team hands-on by detailing vehicles as required to maintain workflow and quality standards Quality Control Conduct regular inspections to verify quality standards are being met Ensure all completed vehicles meet Kirmac's delivery expectations Investigate and address quality concerns promptly Maintain consistency in detailing procedures and standards Implement corrective actions when necessary Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and support a team of Car Care Technicians Train employees on detailing methods, equipment, and safe work practices Conduct performance discussions and provide regular feedback Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing team members Foster a positive, accountable, and team-focused culture Organization & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient detail department Monitor inventory levels and order detailing supplies as required Ensure detailing equipment is properly maintained Promote and enforce all safety procedures and company policies Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements What You Bring Required Qualifications Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence Legally eligible to work in Canada Previous experience in automotive detailing Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience Strong understanding of detailing techniques, products, and equipment Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize multiple vehicles and competing deadlines Strong communication and leadership abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in collision repair or automotive dealership environments Experience managing production metrics and workflow Knowledge of detailing chemicals, equipment maintenance, and quality control systems Working Conditions Work is performed both indoors and outdoors Standing and walking for extended periods Frequent vehicle movement throughout the facility Exposure to noise, detailing products, and changing weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required Why Join Kirmac?
