Forklift Operator - Fixed Term (shift 6:30am to 3:00pm)

Job Summary In a production environment, Forklift Operators use sit down propane lifts to load and unload materials, moving them to and from productions areas, storage areas and loading docks to the storage area within the yard, or on trucks for shipping. Duties & Responsibilities * Moving goods packed on pallets around the storage facility * Performing daily equipment checks * Daily 5S Audits * Stacking goods in the correct storage areas, updating the 5S shipping board * Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards * Work safely and responsibly and follow all safety policies and procedures * Perform work according to accepted procedures and practices * Change out propane tanks * Keep accurate records of production data * Communicate all concerns affecting safety, quality, productivity and the work environment to the Supervisor. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: * Must have 3 years of forklift experience * High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment * Must be able to wear steel-toed shoes and safety glasses * Must be able to speak and read basic English * Must be able to attend work regularly, as attendance is a requirement of the position * Must be able to work safely in varying temperatures in production/warehouse environment * Must be able to lift and carry 20-50 pounds occasionally * Seasonal: August to February

The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading materials using sit-down propane lifts within a production and warehouse environment. They must also perform daily equipment checks, conduct 5S audits, and ensure all goods are stacked and stored correctly.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of forklift experience and the ability to lift 20-50 pounds. The role requires basic English proficiency and the ability to work safely in varying temperatures.
