KZA is committed to creating an inspiring built environment that reflects the unique conditions of the north. With over 40 years of combined experience and more than 500 projects across Yukon, Northwest Territories, Alberta, and British Columbia, KZA is renowned for its expertise in First Nations and cold climate architecture. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Whitehorse, YT, for an Architectural Design Technologist. The responsibilities include supporting architectural projects through design development, technical documentation, and preparation of detailed drawings. The role involves collaborating with architects and engineers, contributing to prototyping, and ensuring designs meet required codes and standards. The successful candidate will also assist in preparing presentations and maintaining consistent communication with project teams. Compensation $80,000 - $90,000 /year Qualifications Proficiency in REVIT, BIM, Autocad, and Sketchup software. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce technical drawings. Effective collaboration and communication skills coordinating sub-consultants. Educational background in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related field Knowledge of building science, sustainable building practices and construcytion is an asset Experience working in the field of First Nations architecture is an advantage
