Reports to: General Supervisor, Field Services Shift: 7x7, 12h shifts, rotation of days and nights Allowances: Additional premiums and allowances are associated with this position due to location Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required Travel: up to 25% travel within Canada Relocation: This position does not offer relocation Key Job Responsibilities Inspect, service, and repair mining equipment at customer sites Diagnose faults and replace or adjust defective parts and systems Testing equipment to ensure peak performance Use micrometers and precision tools to measure tight tolerances Maintain a safe, clean work environment Work independently and collaborate with other mechanics and apprentices in both shop and field settings Qualifications/Requirements Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (Red Seal preferred) 3–5 years of experience in mining or construction Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and warranty specs Experience in customer-facing roles and a solid understanding of relationship-building No restriction accessing any customer mine sites and a valid Alberta driver’s license Comfortable working solo in remote field conditions and open mine environments Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven Committed to safety, quality, and teamwork Experience with Joy Global equipment is a bonus Additional Information This posting reflects an existing vacancy within our organization.
