Our Corporate Finance team in Toronto is looking for a professional like you with the skills and drive to make a real difference. As an Associate of Business Development, you will work closely with the Partners and Senior Vice President of Business Development to support the growth of one of the largest Deals practices in Canada. What you will do Develop new relationships with prospective clients in target sectors / markets. Research, plan and implement new target market initiatives to pursue potential clients Maintain databases of prospective target clients including private equity portfolio companies and other high priority targets in specific sectors Build a network of prospective clients which align with KPMG Corporate Finance’s strategic market coverage goals What you bring to the role 3+ years of proven business development, investment banking and/or private equity (M&A experience is a bonus) Proficiency with external information databases e.g., CapitalIQ, Pitchbook, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters. Solid technical financial proficiency, including a good understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles Passion for establishing and maintaining client relationships, confident communication style with a desire to learn, strive for excellence, a forward thinker Ability to connect leaders with new business opportunities A commitment to continual learning, collaboration and taking on new responsibilities A self-starter who knows when to ask for guidance or support KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $58,000 to $107,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications.
