The opportunity The Power Platform Developer will design, develop, and maintain business applications, automations, and data solutions that improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with hands-on experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, Python, and SQL, and a passion for solving business problems through automation and innovation. As part of the KPMG Canada Audit Operations team, the developer will work closely with business stakeholders to build scalable solutions, streamline workflows, integrate systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate is required to travel 1-2 days per week to KPMG Downtown Toronto location What You Will Do Application Development & Automation Develop, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Apps. Build and support automated workflows using Power Automate to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. Create user-friendly solutions that meet business requirements and enhance the employee experience. Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing Power Platform solutions. Data Integration & Development Working knowledge of SQL queries for data processing activities. Working knowledge of Python scripts to automate routine tasks and data processing activities. Assist in developing data integrations between business systems. Support data transformation and validation activities. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with functional teams to understand business processes, pain points, and solution requirements. Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Provide technical guidance and recommendations on process automation and application design. Support user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and end-user training when required. Your Qualifications 2-4 years of experience developing business applications and automation solutions. Hands-on experience with Microsoft's Power Platform ecosystem. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and improve business processes through technology. Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams. Required Technical Skills Hands-on experience building applications using Power Apps (Canvas Apps preferred). Experience developing workflows using Power Automate. Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data. Experience using Python for scripting, automation, or data processing tasks. Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Dataverse. Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application and workflow issues. Nice to Have Experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX. Experience with Azure services, cloud-based data platforms. Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices. Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Education Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. Microsoft Power Platform certifications are considered an asset (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, or equivalent).
