Maintenance Supervisor

As part of Kruger Publication Papers division, Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited is a quality leader in the manufacture of newsprint and holds the Sustainable Forest Initiative Certification as well as being self-sufficient on energy between Deer Lake Power Generation, Steam Power and Steam Recovery. We aim to be fully reliant on clean energy. Overview Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all maintenance activities in the mill. This position supervises members of mechanical trades. Responsibilities Adhere to and promote company safety and environmental policies. Coach the maintenance team on leadership values and work assignments. Ensure equipment availability and reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance activities. Participate in team problem solving activities to address operating area issues. Ensure accurate documentation of work history in support of the Maintenance Management System. Support measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the Department. Qualifications And Requirements The successful candidate must have: Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related discipline, or a Red Seal in a relevant trade. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a maintenance or manufacturing environment. Experience in a Pulp and Paper environment is considered an asset. Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Technology background is an asset. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members. Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong analytical and problem solving ability, and solid project management skills are essential The successful candidate must be able to work evening and weekends when required. The Successful Candidate will be required to submit a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP before commencing employment. This position will be located in Corner Brook, NL. The Maintenance Supervisor manages the day-to-day execution of all maintenance activities in the mill and supervises mechanical trades. They are responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Candidates must have a degree or diploma in Engineering, a related discipline, or a Red Seal trade certification. A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment is required.
