Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dental Laboratory Technician role based at Kyle Ryan Denture Clinic in Brandon, MB. The Dental Laboratory Technician will fabricate, repair, and modify dentures and related dental prostheses according to prescriptions and specifications from the denturist. Daily tasks include creating wax-ups, performing set-ups, processing and finishing acrylic dentures, and conducting adjustments to ensure proper fit and aesthetics. The role involves maintaining laboratory equipment, organizing materials, and following strict infection control and safety protocols. The technician will collaborate closely with the clinical team to support efficient workflows and high-quality patient outcomes. Qualifications Strong Laboratory Skills, including handling materials, operating laboratory equipment, and following standardized procedures. Knowledge of Dental Technology and Dentures, including fabrication, repair, and adjustment of removable prostheses. Understanding of Dentistry fundamentals to interpret prescriptions and collaborate effectively with a licensed denturist and other oral health professionals. Experience or training suited to Laboratory Technicians, with attention to detail, precision work, and adherence to safety and infection control standards. Formal education in dental technology, dental assisting, or a related field; certification or registration in dental technology is an asset. Manual dexterity, strong visual attention to detail, and ability to work with small tools and materials for extended periods. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical-laboratory setting. Willingness to learn clinic-specific techniques and workflows and to consistently maintain high-quality craftsmanship.
