Responsibilities Tasks Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments Utilize hand and power tools Experience and specialization Equipment and machinery experience Boring machines Milling machines Lathe Additional information Weight handling More than 100 kg (220 lbs)

Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce parts. Compute dimensions and tolerances while verifying product accuracy using precision measuring instruments.

Requires a high school graduation certificate and 3 to 5 years of experience. Must be able to handle weights exceeding 100 kg.
