The welder-fitter is responsible for interpreting specifications and blueprints to fabricate or repair metal parts using various welding and cutting equipment. They must examine welds to ensure they meet quality standards and perform minor repairs on welding machinery.

Candidates must have a trade certificate or diploma and between 7 months to 1 year of experience. Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (SMAW, TIG, MIG, FCAW) and the ability to handle heavy loads in a fast-paced environment are required.
