OT Solution Architect

Pay Range: CAD 70-80/hr The Solution Architect will focus on Operational Technology (OT) architecture, industrial systems, and infrastructure design. The role involves developing, governing, and enhancing OT architecture frameworks and ensuring alignment with enterprise IT and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities Review, enhance, and expand OT Technology Architecture documents, including: Design Patterns Reference Architectures Decision Trees Architecture Standards Identify gaps in existing architecture and develop new architecture artifacts and frameworks Collaborate with stakeholders to: Gather requirements Translate requirements into technical architecture specifications Align solutions with industry best practices Review and validate: Proposed changes to architecture documents Architecture artifacts for leadership approval Perform design governance and compliance reviews for OT project designs: Ensure alignment with approved architecture standards Provide guidance to solution architects and designers Develop supporting documentation, including: Requirements analysis System architecture diagrams Technical specifications Cost estimates Executive presentations and roadmaps Act as OT Subject Matter Expert (SME): Educate teams on OT architecture standards Drive adoption of architecture frameworks Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and OT best practices Drive continuous improvement in OT architecture maturity and standardization Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in: Operational Technology (OT) architecture Industrial systems Infrastructure design Strong expertise in OT architecture frameworks, including: Design Patterns Reference Architectures Decision Trees Technology Standards Hands-on experience with OT platforms and vendor ecosystems: AVEVA Rockwell Automation Emerson Deep understanding of: Industrial Control Systems (ICS) SCADA systems IIoT environments Experience designing and optimizing OT solutions aligned with enterprise IT and operational needs Strong knowledge of: Architecture governance models Compliance frameworks Industry best practices Ability to translate business and operational requirements into technical architecture artifacts Experience creating: Architecture diagrams Technical specifications Roadmaps and solution blueprints Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex industrial environments Excellent communication and collaboration skills with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders Domain OT Architecture Industrial Systems Infrastructure Soft Skills Analytical Thinking Stakeholder Management Leadership Communication Documentation Excellence Certifications TOGAF (preferred) ISA/IEC certifications (good-to-have) OT/ICS security certifications
