Purpose Provide clean linen and terry to all departments. Principal Responsibilities * Feed ironer and receive the linen from presser and the folder, sort and pack them on the rack. * Check all linen and sort the stain and ripped linen and place them in separate bins. * Move the packed linen rack to appropriate areas. * Sort and clean terry then move them to appropriate areas. * Fold terry and pack them in the pack. * Comply with laundry and hotel policies and procedure. * Break, lunch and dinner must be taken at posted time only or by direction of Laundry Manager or Supervisor. * Maintain a clean work area by doing any necessary sweeping and mopping etc. * Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations when handling hazardous materials according to MSDS (i.e. wearing safety goggle, aprons, mask and gloves when needed). * Safe effective use of equipment. * Use only chemicals and safety equipment provided by the Hotel. * Follow Chelsea grooming policy. Nametag must be worn at all times. * Perform other tasks as assigned by Management. Key Result Areas Business * Report equipment malfunctions to the laundry manager immediately. Customer Satisfaction * Should always conduct him/herself with a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guest, co-workers and managers. Process Improvement/ Productivity Production must be met with specified requirement. Academic and Working Qualifications Working Experience • Previous experience in a laundry facility an asset. Soft Skills • Strong work ethic. • Able to work on a team.
