LEARNING SERVICES TEACHER: THE ADVOCATE Champion an inclusive environment that recognizes every student as an image-bearer of God with unique potential. Spearhead early intervention strategies and cultivate social-emotional learning designed specifically to foster confidence and resilience in kindergarten learners. Develop and monitor strength-based IEPs that prioritize student-led goals and personal independence. Lead school-based teams in implementing UDL, RTI, and multi-tiered systems of support. Design data-driven interventions and classroom-based services to meet responsive learning targets. Build collaborative relationships with parents, staff, and external consultants to ensure student belonging. Coordinate Educational Assistants and Youth Care Workers to provide cohesive support across all grade levels. This role would work specifically with our Kindergarten learners. Qualifications Training and successful classroom teaching experience (5+ years preferred). Valid BC teaching certificate or independent schools teaching certification. Ideal candidate will have training and/or certificate and/or Master’s degree in Special Education, or relevant experience. Evidence of a strong sense of purpose and identity built on Biblical principles and participation in a local Christian church community. WHAT DO WE OFFER? Candidates must hold a valid BC teaching certificate and have a strong foundation in Biblical principles. A Master's degree in Special Education or relevant certification is preferred, along with 5+ years of classroom experience.
