Loader Operator

Fine Gold Resources is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March/April to October and we are looking to hire a seasonal Loader Operator, to be based outside of Dawson City, Yukon.. We provide accommodation and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package. The mine operates 24/7 with two shifts each day - a day shift and a night shift - with a rotation schedule. During their time off employees may stay on-site at the camp or venture to Dawson City for some time away. For candidates local to the Dawson City area, we are open to considering an onsite / offsite working schedule. Duties will include the following: Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures. Get directions from the Mine Supervisor for the day-to-day operations work schedule. Do pre & post inspection check-up of the equipment and write/keep equipment log. Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level. Assists in the maintenance work of the equipment. Maintain tidiness in the equipment. Prepare and submit the necessary required daily reports as directed. Perform other functions as maybe directed from time to time. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years previous loader operations experience in a mine environment is an asset. Experience working around heavy-duty equipment is an asset. Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting. Ability to work day and night shifts. The Loader Operator is responsible for safe equipment operation, including pre and post-inspection checks and routine maintenance. They must also manage fueling, maintain equipment cleanliness, and submit daily operational reports as directed by the Mine Supervisor.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience operating loaders in a mining environment and be comfortable working around heavy-duty equipment. Applicants must be physically fit for manual labor and capable of working rotating day and night shifts.
