A look at your benefits You are eligible to receive a bonus. You have a temporary part-time position (approx. 24hrs p/week), for about a 17-month contract. Your tasks at a glance You assist during the pre-op exams and fill the patient’s charts accurately. You answer patient’s questions and ensure the best service. You work closely with Optometrists. You conduct pre-operative and post-operative tests for patients. You update the appointment system after every patient's consultation. You schedule and confirm post-operative appointments by telephone. You support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks. A clear view of your assets You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset). You have an interest in the medical field and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust. Your experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: medical assistant, physiotherapy assistant, optometry assistant, orderly, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, veterinary assistant, etc.). You are looking for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where your ability to work in a team and excel at multi-tasking will be an asset. Schedule: You have flexibility to work between Monday and Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with rotational Saturdays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, for a total of approx. 24 hours p/week (3-4 days a week). From our point of view Whatever your profile, we are above all looking for someone beyond the CV, since you can benefit from in-house training. Only your motivation and your desire to learn are part of our selection criteria.

The Clinical Assistant will perform pre-operative and post-operative tests, maintain accurate patient charts, and assist optometrists during clinical exams. They are also responsible for scheduling appointments and identifying patient safety risks within the clinic.

Candidates should be comfortable with technology, including Microsoft 365, and possess a strong passion for customer service. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is considered an asset, though in-house training is provided.
