The Analyst, Market Risk, assists in evaluating financial products and preparing and developing reports related to managing Treasury and investment portfolio risks. The activities of the Bank in this regard include managing liquidity and investment portfolios, foreign exchange, brokerage and arbitrage of fixed income equity and shares and securitization. Responsibilities Perform, on a daily basis, rigorous market risks analyses and valuations for Treasury and Capital Markets products. Gather, compile and verify the accuracy of the market data and data taken from various source systems. Analyze the information gathered to ensure the quality of the management information and clarify variances. Collaborate in developing new monitoring models and reports according to the products and needs of managers. Participate in determining the fair valuation of financial products and perform valuation modelling for more complex financial products. Contribute to developing and maintaining harmonious relations with the business lines. Participate in carrying out various major projects and mandates having an impact on the Bank's profitability and efficiency. Participate in the review, development and growth of the risk control process for various Treasury and Capital Markets activities. Formulate recommendations to improve work processes. Perform all tasks of a similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job. Qualifications Master's degree in finance or a related field and excellent IT skills (programming, databases, etc.) Professional certification (FRM, CFA, PRM) completed or in progress, an asset Two years of relevant experience (risk management, financial markets) Any other combination of education and experience will be consideredExcellent knowledge of databases and programming Curiosity, thoroughness and autonomy Good communication and explaining skills Team player Proficiency in English and French, spoken and written* Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matterswith internal and external parties in both languages."
