About The Role As a CNC Machinist you will program, using drawing files and packaged conversion software, set tools, prepare fixtures and jigs and machine precision components/parts that meet the engineered drawings in the time allotted by the Manufacturing Process Instruction, while observing Risk Assessment requirements as they apply to each operation or machine. You will report to the Shop Supervisor and be located onsite at our facility in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Main Responsibilities Follow all Risk Assessment requirements for the equipment being used. Deliver acceptable parts in the time allowed. Support apprentices and CNC Operators in set up and operation of equipment. Offer advice to design group when requested. Recommend/adapt improvements in tools, processes and procedures. Manage part programme files complete with back up Contribute to Tool Box talks and other communications. Qualifications College Diploma 5 to 10 years experience Intermediate ability to set up, adjust and operate conventional machine tools or entry level CNC operator. Must have advanced knowledge of hand precision tools. Advanced knowledge of drawing interpretations We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $56,500 to $70,500 per year.
