Requisition Number: 33692 Company: W Electric Canada Inc Location: Peterborough, ON, CA, K9J 7X6 About The Role As a Shift Manufacturing Supervisor – Nuclear Components, you will lead second-shift machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly activities in a nuclear manufacturing environment. You will support safe, compliant, and efficient production while ensuring work meets engineering requirements, ASME codes, customer specifications, and nuclear quality standards. Main activities involve coordinating shift priorities, supporting issue resolution, and helping production teams deliver high-quality components. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager. You will be fully onsite at our facility in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The regular schedule for this role is Monday to Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Key Responsibilities Lead second-shift machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly activities to meet production and customer delivery commitments. Promote nuclear safety culture while ensuring compliance with plant safety procedures, environmental requirements, quality programmes, ASME Section III, NQA-1, and customer requirements. Monitor workflow, labour use, equipment performance, and production schedules to support safe and efficient operations. Work with engineering, quality, maintenance, materials, and first-shift leadership to align priorities and resolve manufacturing issues. Verify adherence to approved procedures, work instructions, traveller requirements, and applicable welder or operator qualifications. Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing experience in machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, or heavy industrial operations. We prefer 2+ years of supervisory, team lead, or manufacturing leadership experience. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. We prefer experience in nuclear, aerospace, defence, power generation, or another regulated manufacturing environment. We prefer experience with ASME Section III, NQA-1, nuclear quality programmes, and/or a Machinist Licence. We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $93,200 to $116,500 per year.
