The Details** Position: Curb Assist Starting Rate: $20.40 Hours: Part-time & Full-time / Must have flexible availability Location: Edmonton Airport Who is LAZ Parking? The Spirit of the Position: TheCurb Supervisor oversees the airport parking facilities during off-shift times, while greeting and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients. This position responds to all locations that have a need for supervision and must be flexible as it is a very multitasking position and able to work outdoors. Duties include, but are not limited to, cashiering, valeting, shuttling, customer service and other assigned tasks. Principal Job Duties Frequently operate two-way radio. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time outside in all weather conditions. Work is outdoors; work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift and will subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Monitors curb parking areas, issuing citations to vehicles in violation of parking ordinances, as necessary. Provides excellent customer service to all parkers, taking every opportunity to assist with questions, potential disputes, and directions. Exercises proper judgement, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with both the public and commercial transportation. Ensures that the commercial lanes are organized, with all incoming vehicles parking at their designated locations and ensuring that all driving laws, regulations and YEG Airport protocol are being upheld within the commercial lane boundaries. Provide a courteous and professional relationship with all customers, vender, coworkers, and management. Perform commercial vehicle audits and report accordingly. Serve as backup to other roles such as cashiers and valets, depending upon skills and training. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Supervisory experience is preferred. Strong customer service experience. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement. Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 22.67 kg Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.) The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
