Looking for local work and long-term opportunity? Ledcor is seeking Sideboom Operators to join our team for ongoing maintenance work in Suncor Baseplant, Fort McMurray AB. Essential Responsibilities: Operate 594 and 587 models safely and efficiently according to lift plan and site procedures Lift and move pipe for fabrication and assembly Work in tandem with other operators to safely carry sections of pipe Exercise extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety Perform pre-use inspections and equipment walk-arounds before operating Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements Qualifications: Minimum 3 years’ experience operating sidebooms Must be able to interpret capacity chart(s) and identify the rigging requirements Must be able to understand the capacity of each component and the relationships between the length of the boom, length of cable, cable size and load limits Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing Strong commitment to safety Available for day/night shifts Valid driver's license Work Conditions: Local Fort McMurray work opportunity 14/7 rotation (10 hours per day) Competitive pay and benefits Extended health and wellness benefits provided by CLAC Opportunities for long-term employment and career growth Additional Information Ledcor Pipeline offers a unique set of pipeline services unmatched anywhere in the oil and gas industry.
