Job Description The Senior Manager, Business Development supports client and prospect engagement across Leger by helping create and sustain commercial relationships. The role works closely with the Sales team to identify and approach prospective organizations, follow up with clients and prospects, and connect them with relevant Leger content, webinars, events, offers, and services. Success in the role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship-building skills, sound organization, and the ability to understand client needs and translate them into business opportunities in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and approach new companies and organizations to support business development efforts. Engage prospects and clients through email, phone, social media, and other appropriate channels to strengthen relationships with Leger. Invite prospects and clients to Leger webinars, events, and other engagement initiatives and ensure timely follow-up. Share relevant Leger articles, content, offers, and services based on client initiatives and business needs. Support the Sales team with the preparation and distribution of sales documents and presentations. Coordinate with Marketing to support sales strategies, lead-generation efforts, webinars, conferences, and other sales events. Maintain accurate and current sales and client records in the CRM system. Monitor market trends and build product knowledge to contribute effectively to the sales process. Qualifications University degree or college diploma in business administration or a related field of study. Minimum five (5) years of experience in consultative sales Minimum five (5) years of experience in the market research or strategic consulting industry as a consultant or market/strategic research professional Experience using a CRM platform, such as HubSpot or Salesforce, is considered an asset. Additional Information SKILLS Business Development & Networking: Ability to build relationships, expand professional networks, and identify new business opportunities. Client Understanding & Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand client needs and organizational priorities and translate them into relevant business opportunities. Communication & Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including confidence and credibility when engaging with VP- and C-level executives. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams, particularly Sales and Marketing. Drive & Organization: Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, tenacity, and autonomy, combined with strong organizational skills and a professional, courteous approach.
