About the Role: The Driver Helper FT Hourly position is integral to supporting delivery operations by assisting drivers in the efficient and safe transportation of goods across various locations in Canada. This role focuses on ensuring timely loading and unloading of products, maintaining clear communication with drivers and customers, and providing excellent customer service throughout the delivery process. The Driver Helper will work closely with the driver to navigate routes, handle packages carefully, and resolve any issues that arise during deliveries. This position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to contribute to the overall success of the delivery team. Ultimately, the Driver Helper plays a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by supporting seamless delivery experiences. Minimum Qualifications: * Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driving record. * Ability to lift and carry heavy products safely and repeatedly throughout the workday. * Basic proficiency in English or French to communicate effectively with team members and customers. * Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor, including walking, bending, and standing for extended periods. * Availability to work full-time hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as required. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience in a delivery, warehouse, or logistics support role. * Familiarity with local routes and geography within the assigned delivery area in Canada. * Customer service experience demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Basic knowledge of mobile devices or handheld scanners used for delivery tracking. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: * Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently at various delivery locations. * Support the driver in navigating routes and managing delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals. * Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and address any delivery-related inquiries or concerns. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and documenting any discrepancies or damages. * Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure working environment during all delivery activities. Skills: The required skills such as physical stamina and safe lifting techniques are essential for handling packages and assisting with loading and unloading tasks daily. Communication skills enable the Driver Helper to interact professionally with customers and coordinate effectively with drivers to ensure smooth delivery operations. Time management and organizational skills are used to help maintain delivery schedules and accurate documentation. Preferred skills like familiarity with local routes and experience with delivery technology enhance efficiency and reduce errors during deliveries. Together, these skills contribute to a reliable, customer-focused delivery process that supports the overall logistics team.
