*Main job objective - Mission:* The Building and Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable working environment. This role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to facility?related issues across the site. *Main responsibilities and Key Result Areas:* · Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, compressors, etc.). · Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and infrastructure issues. · Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards, wear, or malfunction. · Maintain building interior and exterior, including minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs. · Support production and office areas by responding quickly to maintenance requests. · Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety standards. *Professional qualifications and knowledge:* · 3?5 years of experience in building maintenance or industrial facilities. · Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. · Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals. · Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical systems. · Experience with tools, machinery, and safety procedures. · Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. · Good communication and teamwork skills. *Competencies and personal skills:* · Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. · Comfortable working in environments with noise, dust, or temperature variations. *Other requirements or special comments:* · Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. · Ability to respond to emergencies or after?hours calls when required. · Basic computer skills for maintenance logging.
