FINANCIAL SERVICES Director: Danielle Laplante Qualifications A Bachelor of Commerce degree in an appropriate specialty, notably Accounting. Hold. or working towards a CPA designation, and two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the field of accounting or finance. Other Requirements Proficiency in English and French, both oral and written; Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills; Mastery of accounting software; Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook software Good interpersonal skills. Experience in the education sector – an asset Knowledge of GRICS products – an asset Knowledge of Canadian public sector accounting standards - an asset Nature Of The Work The analyst assesses the needs related to one or more fields of activity of the school board, collects information from users and identifies potential sources of difficulties; he or she designs, develops, and recommends solutions to resolve the difficulties identified. The analyst designs, analyzes, evaluates and applies professional techniques relating to accounting, financial and statistical operations. Daily Tasks/Dossiers Participates in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Performs analysis of revenue and expense items and balance sheet accounts Responsible for updating the chart of accounts and submitting monthly and quarterly financial statements to the Quebec Ministry of Education Participates in the preparation of initial and revised budgets (monthly) Monitors the budget and results Performs various analyses to meet the department's information needs, prepares specific documents and reports Participates in the development and application of standards and procedures related to their sector and ensures compliance Prepares and supervises accounting entries, verifies the compliance of accounting operations Responsible for bank reconciliations Collaborates in the development and monitoring of links between various financial systems Acts as an advisor to the administrative staff of the institutions Leads projects of implementing modules into the accounting system (e.g., LaProcure-Dofin) Performs all other related tasks assigned by his or her immediate supervisor

Exigences
