Lethbridge County is hiring a *Permanent Heavy Equipment Operator *(Equipment Operator 4) to support road maintenance, construction, drainage, and public works projects throughout the County. *What You'll Do (Responsibilities)* * Operate graders and other heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, motor scrapers, mill razors, excavators, dozers, and scrapers as required and directed * Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance * Report mechanical issues and assist with minor troubleshooting and maintenance * Follow all safety policies and procedures and participate in Lethbridge County's Health and Safety program * Assist with general labour duties as required *Who You Are (Qualifications)* * Qualified and competent operating a grader safely and independently, required * Experience operating other heavy equipment in road construction, drainage, or civil construction, required * Strong understanding of and focus on safe work practices, required * Mechanical knowledge, an asset * Valid Class 3 driver?s license, required * *A satisfactory Police Information Check and Driver's Abstract are required for successful applicants.* *Working Conditions* * Outdoor work in various weather conditions * Overtime and weekend work may be required Work Location: In person, various locations throughout Lethbridge County as directed by your supervisor. *If you meet the requirements for this position, and are interested in joining the team at Lethbridge County, please apply on indeed before 4:00pm on Sunday, August 16, 2026.* Pay: $33.77-$35.85 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Company pension * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid vacation * Vision care Work Location: In person
