Levitt-Safety is looking for a hands-on VFSS Install Technician to join our Edmonton Service team. You’ll install, inspect, service and repair Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems (VFSS) and other fire & life safety equipment at customer sites. You’ll work on everything from vehicles and equipment to large mining machinery - and become a trusted Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers. No VFSS experience? No problem. If you have strong mechanical skills, a knack for troubleshooting and a willingness to learn, we’ll train you. What You'll Do Install, inspect, maintain and repair VFSS, fire extinguishers and related safety equipment Work at customer sites and provide professional, reliable service Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues Support our Edmonton shop team when needed Travel out of town and participate in after-hours/on-call work as required Represent Levitt-Safety and help customers keep their people and equipment safe What You Bring Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills Hands-on experience with vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery or a mechanical trade Basic electrical knowledge Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable using technology such as iPads, phones and laptops A valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract Comfortable with occasional out of town travel VFSS or fire suppression experience is an asset - but we'll train the right person. You’ll need to be comfortable: Lifting up to 50 lbs. Working in tight spaces, including engine compartments Working at heights on large equipment Walking and working on uneven terrain Driving and sitting for extended periods Choose the Safe Way, Always You’re a champion for safety - on the job, at the customer site and in the details. From completing documentation accurately to following safe work practices, you’ll help ensure every job is done the right way, the safe way, every time.
