IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY Interim Finance Transformation Lead Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Duration: 3 Months Location: Ontario 100% virtual Not every finance transformation requires a large consulting team. Sometimes what’s needed is an experienced practitioner who has already been through the journey, someone who knows how to unlock the value of an ERP, streamline finance operations, and leave behind a more scalable, disciplined operating environment. Our client, a growing North American professional services organization, is seeking an Interim Finance Transformation Lead to help modernize and optimize its finance function as it prepares for its next phase of growth. Drawing on themes of continuous improvement, operational excellence, process standardization, and technology enablement, this position is focused on execution rather than program management. The Opportunity Reporting to the CFO, this hands-on subject matter expert will work closely with finance, operations, and technology stakeholders to improve financial processes, strengthen controls, and maximize the organization's investment in NetSuite. The successful candidate will bring deep experience helping scaling organizations evolve from manual, highly dependent processes to a more automated, documented, and data-driven finance environment. Key Areas of Focus Optimize and streamline core finance processes across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and financial planning activities. Unlock additional value from NetSuite by improving workflows, automation, reporting, dashboards, and system utilization. Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and governance frameworks. Identify opportunities for automation, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency across the finance function. Develop meaningful performance metrics and reporting capabilities to support better decision-making and operational visibility. Partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives and embed best practices across the organization. Support change management efforts, helping finance teams adopt new ways of working and leverage available technology more effectively. Establish a scalable foundation that supports future growth without adding unnecessary complexity. What We're Looking For Proven experience leading finance transformation, process improvement, or ERP optimization initiatives. Strong hands-on expertise with NetSuite ERP. Experience helping growing organizations improve operational discipline through process redesign, automation, and standardization. Track record of developing SOPs, controls, and scalable finance operating models. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while delivering practical, measurable results. Ideal Background We are particularly interested in individuals who have previously: Led NetSuite optimization or enhancement initiatives. Supported professional services, retail, technology, or other knowledge-based organizations. Delivered measurable improvements in finance efficiency, reporting, controls, and business insight. Helped organizations transition from founder-led or entrepreneurial processes to a more mature, scalable operating model. If you're a finance transformation professional who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, simplifying complexity, and leaving organizations stronger than you found them, we'd love to hear from you.
