Our client, a well known litigation boutique in the GTA, is looking to add an exceptional Litigation Lawyer with 5+ years of experience to its growing team. The position will involve working on a broad range of litigation matters, with the successful candidate able to tailor their role to the areas they prefer. This is an opportunity for an associate lawyer to further develop their practice within a growing firm, or for a partner or senior associate with a book of business to join a new platform. This is a hybrid position with the opportunity to work in a Peterborough or Oshawa office. Your role will include: Working on a wide variety of files, including but not limited to commercial litigation, personal injury, class actions, and real estate. Supporting partners on major files while developing a personal practice Conducting legal research and analysis, file reviews, and preparing memoranda and other documents You are the ideal candidate if you have/are: J.D. and a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario. 5+ years of Litigation experience Experience in Court Experience with insolvency/receivership is an asset Experience in property disputes Excellent drafting and verbal and written communication skills Strong business instinct and acumen Ability to handle files independently and as part of a team for complex matters Desire to exceed expectations Exceptional time management and project management skills, along with an ability to juggle multiple projects/priorities This is an active opening for a current role. The expected salary range is 140,000-185,000 depending on seniority and experience. Total compensation can include bonus or incentives. AI may be used only for initial resume review.
