Job Title: Machine Operator Job Summary: As a Machine Operator, you will operate various machines in the fabrication department. Responsibility: * Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings (blueprints), and/or work orders. * Operate, and monitor machinery with minimal supervision to ensure proper functioning and production output. * Operate small hand tools, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needs. * Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and adjust as needed. * Record Production data and maintain logs to track machine performance and output. * Inspect finished products for adherence to specifications and quality standards; identify and address any defects or issues. * Assisting with routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance; identify and report any mechanical issues to the fabrication supervisor. * Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures. * Other duties as assigned by the lead hand or supervisor. Academic/Educational Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred Required Skills/Experience: * Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment is an advantage. * Experience operating machinery and knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques such as 5S would be considered an asset. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. * Basic math skills and proficiency in using measuring tools. * Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device. * Ability to use hand tools and power tools. * Ability to troubleshoot by identifying mechanical errors. * Ability to work independently and in a team setting. * Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided) * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Must be organized, proactive, and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace. * Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. * Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
