Sr Representative, Commercial Property Claims Definity Full-time Mississauga, ON, CA 12h ago Job Description The Opportunity Experienced Property Claims Adjuster responsible for managing property claims from intake to resolution, including coverage assessment, vendor coordination, payment processing, and salvage/subrogation activities. The successful person will come with commercial property experience. What To Expect Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files What You Bring University degree in any discipline or a college diploma in one of the following programs: 2-year diploma from a provincially recognized and funded community college in Insurance, Law & Security, Loss Control, Business Administration or the CIP designation 5-8 year’s experience adjusting property claims Experience of commercial property claims would be an asset Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an asset Familiarity with Guidewire system Proficient in MS Word and Excel Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure Team player adaptable to a changing environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Salary Range: $59,300 - $109,200 About Us Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
