Part-Time (0.6285 FTE) Learning Commons Facilitator Willow Creek Composite High School Willow Creek Composite High School in Claresholm, Alberta is seeking to employ the very best school based staff in Alberta! Willow Creek Composite High School requires a Part-Time (.6285 FTE) Learning Commons Facilitator. The hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. (22 hours per week). This position will commence on August 26, 2026. Desired Qualifications Include The Following Experience working in a learning commons environment. Experience with or a willingness to learn the Renaissance, STAR reader, Accelerated Reader, and Destiny programs. A passion for learning and reading that can be shared with students of all ages and reading ability. A willingness to collaborate with staff and students to enhance learning. Key duties will involve: Creating and maintaining an inviting, nurturing, and safe environment that fosters intellectual and collaborative inquiry. Monitoring and supporting staff with Renaissance assessments (STAR Reading, STAR Math, Accelerated Reader). Supporting students taking courses through LRSD's virtual school. Managing the acquisition, processing, organization, distribution, maintenance and inventory resources in the learning commons that reflects a culturally diverse collection of resources. Willow Creek Composite High School, located in Claresholm, Alberta is a grades 7-12 school with approximately 350 students. The facilitator will create a safe, nurturing environment for intellectual inquiry and manage the acquisition and organization of diverse learning resources. They will also monitor Renaissance assessments and support students enrolled in virtual school courses.

Candidates should have experience in a learning commons environment and a passion for promoting reading and learning. Proficiency or a willingness to learn programs such as STAR Reader, Accelerated Reader, and Destiny is desired.
