We are seeking a temporary full time (1.0 FTE) teacher to teach Jr/Sr High Math. The contract will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found and will end on June 29, 2027. We are seeking a teacher who has; Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula; A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices; Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team; A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment; A strong belief in parent involvement and communication including regular communication with home beyond the use report cards; Strong organizational and classroom management skills; An in depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments; A passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations Metis and Inuit students; An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting; Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same; Salary Will Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience.
