The role delivers educational and informative engagement sessions to members of key workplace clients and intermediary partners. This role is central to the organisation’s member engagement strategy and aims to enhance understanding and participation in workplace pensions. Regular travel is part of this role and a full UK clean driving license is required and access to a car. Job Description JOB TITLE: Engagement Consultant Pay range: £40,824 - £45,360 LOCATION(S): Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds or Halifax HOURS: Full-time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. What you’ll be doing As an Engagement Consultant, you’ll support our member engagement strategy, helping workplace pension members better understand and engage with their pension, so they can make informed decisions about their financial future. You’ll deliver engaging and accessible pension briefings to workplace members and intermediary partners, adapting your approach for different audiences and client needs. You’ll also create relevant, informative materials that reflect developments in the UK pensions landscape. Working collaboratively with advisers, employers, members, and internal teams, you’ll use feedback and insight to improve our engagement content. You will also find opportunities to strengthen relationships and expand our services. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting the member engagement strategy to improve understanding of and participation in workplace pensions. Delivering clear, engaging and informative pension presentations to workplace members and intermediary partners. Adapting presentations and communications to meet different audience and client needs. Creating relevant and innovative engagement materials that reflect legislative, regulatory and market developments. Bringing fresh ideas to how we communicate complex pension information in an accessible way. Finding opportunities to strengthen client relationships and extend the support we provide. Supporting the successful onboarding of new clients and the growth of existing relationships. Capturing feedback from advisers, employers and members to refine and improve engagement content. Maintaining a strong understanding of our member interaction proposition, supporting technology and wider engagement offering. Keeping up to date with relevant industry trends, regulatory developments and internal changes. Clearly and consistently communicating the Scottish Widows proposition to external audiences. Partnering with colleagues and collaborators to deliver positive outcomes for members and clients. What we’re looking for Essential skills and experience Confident presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage different audiences. The ability to explain detailed or complex information clearly and accessibly. Experience of creating or adapting presentations, communications or engagement materials. Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with clients, partners and internal stakeholders. The ability to gather feedback and use it to improve content or customer experiences. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle changing priorities and maintain accurate, current content. A commitment to delivering positive and inclusive outcomes for members and clients. And any experience of these would be great Knowledge of workplace pensions or the wider financial services industry. Experience of delivering presentations, workshops or educational sessions to workplace audiences. Experience of working with employers, advisers or intermediary partners. An understanding of member or customer engagement strategies. Experience of supporting client onboarding or developing existing client relationships. An awareness of the UK pensions landscape and relevant regulatory developments. Experience of using digital engagement tools or presentation technology.
