POSITION OVERVIEW The Executive Vice-President (EVP) will play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of the company’s growth by partnering closely with the Owner & Founder, President & CEO. As a key member of the leadership team, the EVP will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, strengthening operational execution, and building the capabilities required for a scalable and high-performing organization. This executive will lead the Leadership Team, enhance business performance, foster innovation, and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer-focused solutions while positioning the company for sustained success in the evolving final mile logistics industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Define and execute the company’s strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities within the final mile logistics sector. Partner with the President & CEO to translate business objectives into actionable priorities that drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational scalability. Lead and empower the Executive Leadership Team by fostering trust, accountability, collaboration, and ownership, while creating an environment where leaders are equipped to make decisions and deliver results. Establish effective operating processes, governance structures, and performance rhythms that improve decision-making and enable the organization to scale. Oversee business performance, including operational efficiency, financial outcomes, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support commercial growth initiatives by ensuring customer commitments, service capabilities, and operational capacity remain aligned. Lead initiatives focused on technology adoption, automation, and data-driven optimization to enhance productivity, service quality, and customer experience. Build and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, employment standards, and organizational policies. Identify and execute strategic opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and other initiatives that strengthen the company’s market position. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational success, improve execution, and drive accountability. Represent the organization with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, employees, and future Board members, strengthening trust and brand reputation. Serve as a culture and change leader, fostering an environment focused on innovation, operational excellence, employee engagement, and long-term success. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is considered an asset. 20+ years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated success driving business transformation, scaling operations, and navigating periods of growth and change. Proven track record as a senior executive leading complex, high-growth organizations, ideally within logistics, transportation, final mile operations, or a related industry. Strong strategic and commercial mindset, with experience developing and executing growth strategies, managing P&L performance, and delivering measurable business results. Deep understanding of logistics operations, network optimization, scalability, process improvement, and the integration of technology to enhance performance. Demonstrated ability to be an authentic leader who develops, empowers, and motivates teams through trust, coaching, and clear expectations. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage executives, employees, customers, investors, and external partners. Experience operating in entrepreneurial, investor-backed, or private equity environments, with the ability to balance agility with disciplined execution. Comprehensive knowledge of transportation regulations, risk management, compliance requirements, and operational governance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, with the ability to leverage technology and data to support business decisions. Agile and resilient leader with the ability to navigate complexity, operate effectively with limited information, and translate uncertainty into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
