Key Account Manager – Consumer Packaged Goods - Bilingual (French/English) The Opportunity Our client is a fast-growing, highly regarded global consumer packaged goods company with a portfolio of iconic and well-established food brands. With strong momentum in the Canadian market and continued investment in growth, the organization is looking to add a Key Account Manager (French Bilingual) to its Canadian Sales team. Based in Ontario and reporting directly to the Head of Sales, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of regional retail accounts across Ontario and Quebec. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious CPG sales professional who enjoys combining customer relationship management, analytics, commercial strategy and execution to identify opportunities and deliver profitable growth. The position follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week based in the company's downtown Toronto office and two days working from home. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop a portfolio of regional key accounts across Ontario and Quebec, building strong, productive relationships with key customer stakeholders. Develop and execute customer-specific business plans designed to deliver sales, distribution, share and profitability objectives. Identify opportunities to expand the business through increased distribution, promotional activity, assortment optimization, new product introductions and other customer-specific growth initiatives. Build compelling, fact-based selling stories and customer presentations that translate consumer, category and marketplace insights into actionable recommendations. Leverage Nielsen and other available data sources to analyze performance, identify trends, uncover opportunities and support customer recommendations. Take a highly data-driven and solution-oriented approach to account management, using insights to address customer needs and drive mutually beneficial growth. Develop and execute annual account plans, promotional programs and customer initiatives in alignment with broader commercial objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of trade investment, promotional effectiveness and customer profitability, ensuring resources are deployed effectively. Participate in customer negotiations involving pricing, promotions, programs, assortment, distribution and other commercial initiatives. Monitor account performance against established targets and proactively identify opportunities or corrective actions. Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders to ensure strong execution against customer plans. Support the successful launch and commercialization of new products within assigned accounts. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide ongoing visibility into customer opportunities, risks and marketplace developments. Stay current on competitive activity, retailer strategies, category trends and evolving consumer behaviour within the Ontario and Quebec markets. Represent the organization professionally with customers while demonstrating a collaborative, entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2–3 years of CPG account management experience, ideally within food, beverage or another fast-moving consumer goods environment. Demonstrated experience directly managing and growing regional retail/key accounts. Fluency in both French and English is absolutely required, including strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Experience working with customers in Quebec is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Nielsen and the ability to interpret syndicated data and translate insights into meaningful commercial recommendations. Strong analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to use data to build persuasive selling stories. Good understanding of trade spending, promotional programs and customer investment within a CPG environment. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions and drive incremental growth within assigned customers. Strong customer relationship management, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills. Commercially minded with the ability to balance customer objectives with company growth and profitability goals. Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple customers, priorities and initiatives simultaneously. Collaborative and able to work effectively across multiple internal functions. Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable operating within a fast-paced, high-growth organization. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing or a related discipline is preferred.
