Louis W Bray Construction is seeking a Yard and Shop Worker to join our winning team and support the completion of Heavy Civil Construction projects throughout the Ottawa area. Duties and Responsibilities To promote safety, quality and reliability in all activities conducted by the construction team. Operate forklifts and other construction equipment. Load and unload floats and trailers, Pick up and deliver material tools and equipment to various job sites and vendors. Maintain Lifting devices and shop tools. Keep yard and Shop clean and organized. Assist with Equipment Repairs as needed. All other related duties as required. Required Skills and Qualifications Must hold a valid driver’s license. Physically demanding work, so the ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required. Practical knowledge of construction equipment's function, operation, and maintenance. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Experience operating a Telehandler and Forklift Experience towing trailers and know how to secure loads properly. Experience operating a 3-ton flatbed truck. Forklift Operator certification (preferred) Multitasking and problem solving is a must.
