About The Opportunity Our Public Sector client is seeking one Intermediate Procurement Specialist (Supply Specialist) to provide procurement, logistics, supply and material management support. The role includes monitoring materiel usage, supporting procurement planning, managing inventory and material movements, and providing recommendations related to distribution, disposal and repair forecasts. Duties include but are not limited to: Assist with procurement planning and prepare procurement plans for approval Follow up with vendors regarding deliveries Liaise with and respond to inquiries from clients, units, bases and other stakeholders Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to new employees in supply management and procurement Provide logistics and supply management support, including storage transfer orders, monitoring inventory levels and approving the release of stocked items Manage procurement and supply documents within the applicable enterprise resource management and records management systems Perform material management activities, including inventory management, ordering and movement of material, and supply services Prepare supply requisition documents for matters requiring procurement review and approval Plan and implement material provisioning and distribution between main depots Monitor materiel usage and adjust the disposition of materiel, including reviewing demands for controlled material Establish dues in the material management system of record to support timely receipt at depots or other designated locations Review and action approved priority demands for customers Process stock movements within bases and depots Verify establishment levels for bases and units before releasing stock in order to monitor and control stock movement Review and consult on cataloguing data to establish, verify and modify material data as required from a supply management perspective Respond to inquiries regarding material, material movement, supply of material and order status within the enterprise resource management system Monitor supply activities and report on maintenance, repair, overhaul and equipment management activities Perform the annual review of repair data with the Technical Authority Provide recommendations regarding distribution, disposal and repair forecasts through an annual review of material under the Technical Authority’s responsibility Prepare monthly status reports documenting significant activities, action and decision items, outstanding activities, identified issues, recommendations and level of effort About You The successful candidate will have the following: Certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution A minimum of twenty-four (24) months of combined experience, within the last forty-eight (48) months, in the procurement of goods and/or services on behalf of the Federal Government of Canada A minimum of twenty-four (24) months of combined experience, within the last forty-eight (48) months, using an Enterprise Resource Management system, such as SAP or DRMIS, to analyze and provide recommendations on the distribution and/or replenishment of inventory levels A minimum of forty-eight (48) months of combined experience, within the last ninety-six (96) months, providing logistical supply support to multiple clients and customers, including maintaining electronic and physical records of stock keeping or inventory levels and customer orders, preparing usage reports and movement history, and performing electronic audits of material A minimum of forty-eight (48) months of combined experience, within the last one-hundred and eighty (180) months, in at least four (4) of the following material management activities: stock transfers; material requirement planning; inventory management; supply chain management; preparing inventory reports; maintaining stock levels; and monitoring stock movement trends Fluency in English and French A valid Secret-level security clearance Eligible to access Controlled Goods, as required for the work About the Job Duration: 4 years, with additional one-year option period Work Environment: Westend Ottawa Ontario Language requirement: Bilingual (English and French) Security requirement: Active Secret Clearance required LROGOV How To Apply Please apply by clicking the “Apply Now” button below and follow the instructions to submit your résumé.
