About The Opportunity On behalf of one of Canada's largest and most prestigious law firms, we are recruiting for at tenured Legal Assistant, to work in a Labour & Employment practice. This two month contract has strong potential to extend and offers an outstanding team atmosphere and the opportunity to work in a professional environment with all of the tools to foster success. Duties include but are not limited to: Review, format, and prepare legal documents and correspondence Maintain client files and case records (electronic and paper) Assist with interpreting and executing requests within legal documents and agreements Coordinate schedules, deadlines, and client requests within designated timelines Conduct basic legal research and fact-checking as required Provide general administrative support to lawyers and the legal team About You The successful candidate will have the following: Post-secondary education in Legal Administration or related field 1-3 years of experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); French considered a strong asset Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with legal or document management systems an asset Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality About the Job The payrate for this position will be between $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
