About The Opportunity Our client is a law firm located in downtown Ottawa. They are looking for an experienced Legal/Executive Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Duties include but are not limited to: Client contact (telephone and email) File opening, retainers, coordinate with accounting Filing in appropriate corporate drives Reporting, scheduling, and organizing Documentation - drafting, typing, editing and publication File administration - WIP monitoring, billing and monitoring of accounts receivable and payable Daily docketing of work on all files, and ensuring proper recording of all services on all files Monthly billing and reporting Handle inquiries directed to the lawyer's office, and keep lawyer fully informed About You The successful candidate will have the following: Minimum of ten (10) years experience working as a Legal/Executive Assistant in a law firm A Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma is preferred Experience supporting a busy corporate law practice is required Any experience with commercial transactions, commercial real estate, and wills/estates would be considered a definite asset About the Job Salary will depend on experience but is likely to fall within the $65,000 to $80,000/year range. Benefits and free parking will be offered. This position requires daily onsite attendance.
