What You’ll Be Doing As a key contributor to our Design Verification & Characterization Team, you’ll play an essential role in bringing revolutionary optical products to life. Specifically, you’ll: * Engineer with impact: Design and implement advanced optical test and verification strategies to transition breakthrough products from the design phase to full-scale production. * Characterize cutting-edge optics: Conduct in-depth characterization of key optical parameters, using advanced techniques to ensure our products are optimized for real-world performance. * Dive into advanced analysis: Utilize sophisticated data analysis methods to extract insights, solve challenges, and improve optical designs. * Innovate with AI: Collaborate on integrating AI tools into test and characterization workflows to unlock new levels of efficiency and accuracy. * Collaborate for success: Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to align product requirements. * Deliver excellence: Create scalable, well-documented test solutions and validate products using Agile methodologies. * Learn from the best: Gain hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned experts in optical testing, characterization, and advanced data analysis, setting the foundation for a successful career. What We’re Looking For Education: * A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field. Experience: * 3+ years of relevant experience on product development of optical components, photonics, or telecom systems Required Skills: * Strong analytical, communication skills, and problem-solving skills * Proficiency in Software Development The ideal candidate will have: * Experience in the design and/or testing of optical components and subsystems for optical communications. * Hands-on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment * Expertise in test automation, including interaction with devices under test and test equipment. * Experience in any one (or more) of the following: Python, Flutter, Dart, VB.NET, C# * Experience leveraging packages and frameworks in a software development context * Familiarity with Agile software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git) Perks You’ll Love * Flexible time off * Health and wellness benefits (physical and mental) * Tuition reimbursement and career growth support * A workplace built for you: free gym, games room, prayer room * Subsidized meals, free coffee/tea * Employee stock options and incentive plans * A collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture Salary Range: $75,000 - $124,000 CAD (flexible). Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
