Lymphoma Canada is a Canadian charitable organization with a mission to empower patients and the lymphoma community through education, support, advocacy and research. Lymphoma Canada provides educational materials and hosts webinars and conferences on Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). We also provide patient and caregiver support, advocate on behalf of patients for timely access to new treatments, and fund Canadian research. Lymphoma Canada resources are reviewed by our Scientific Advisory Board (comprised of Canadian researchers and clinicians), Nursing Advisory Board and/or Patient & Family Advisory Committee. Description of Position The Board of Directors provides leadership and support to the organization by committing to excellence in governance and organizational health. As a national board that conducts its affairs for all Canadians, we are looking for people from across the country particularly those from British Columbia and Quebec who have board experience and expertise in one of the following specific areas which include Financial / CPA, Fundraising & Development, Legal and Scientific. All members of the Board have a passion for volunteering and for making a difference in the lives of those touched by lymphoma. Responsibilities Directors generally meet five times a year; meetings are conducted virtually, with the possibility of one hybrid/in-person meeting in the Toronto area. Board members are also required to participate on one or more of the following standing committees: Finance & Audit, Governance, HR, and/or Patient Support & Research.
